Commercial Soap vs. Natural Handmade Soap

Many people ask themselves these questions.. What's the fuss with handmade soap? is there a difference? Let me take some time and answer.

The truth of the matter is that there is really a huge difference! there's a difference in how natural soap is made, the ingredients, what it does to your skin and how it complements it.

First, let me explain that commercial soap is NOT soap! it's Detergent, you heard it right. Detergents are synthetic man-made derivatives. They are full of chemicals that are produced in mass production to meet the demands of consumers.

A car is washed with detergents and dishes are washed with detergents, people should not be washing with detergents!

Just imagine all those harsh detergents, (that lather very well I tell you) they are designed to deep clean, deposit unwanted parabens, chemicals, and preservatives. The human body is sensitive and we must care for it properly.

The skin is the largest organ in the human body with pores that are open to everything you put on it. Therefore it absorbs all, delivering it to the body organs.

Literally detergents are poison that we're feeding our organs. :/

Natural soap on the other hand, is made with Rich oils and luxurious butters that when mixed with a lye, they go through the saponification process. This saponification process leaves behind only the good stuff, soap! (no lye is found)

Of course this is just the short version of how soap is made, a few other ingredients like natural colorants, and essential or fragrance oils are added as well.

there's also the cutting, curing, packaging, waiting... it takes quite sometime to make a product that you're proud to put your name on it.

I've come across some fellow soapers that have impecable decorating and packaging skills. These soaps would make wonderful gifts, especially for the holiday season!

I started making soap for my personal use and my family's. I personally love this art and I'm excited to be able to share my products with you!

My friends, let's be diligent and feed our skin ingredients that are not dangerous, but instead will nurture, moisturize, hydrate and protect our body.

Thanks for visiting our website, if you have any questions feels free to message me, i will personally answer your questions.
